Profile – Brad Fittler

General Information · 02-06-2026

Name or Nickname: Brad ‘Freddy’ Fittler.

Hometown: Terrey Hills, NSW.

Age: 54.

Current occupation? I work at the NRL head office and I also provide commentary for the Nine Network.

First bike ridden: Yamaha PW50. I rode it into a fence.

How old were you? Eight.

Current bike: Harley-Davidson Street Glide.

Hobbies and interests: Riding my motorbike, getting my hands dirty in the garden and swimming in the ocean. All topped off with dinner with family at a restaurant because it means I don’t have to do the dishes!

Motorcycling ambitions, goals and dreams: To stay upright and to never stop riding.

Who inspires you? People, everyday. Today it was a four-year-old kid smiling and holding hands with his mum. He started waving at me and gave me a high five as I walked past. Joy.

What makes you happy? Everything. When in doubt, do some exercise or get on the bike and take a ride out to West Head Lookout. Bliss.

What would you never do again on

a bike? Go on a big ride in winter. Or be doubled on a superbike around Phillip Island. Crazy. If it wasn’t Chris Vermeulen riding, I would have jumped off midway.

Motorcycling highlight so far: I have been doing a community rugby league ride for the last 15 years. This year we did 8000km. All up around 100,000km on our country roads. I can’t explain the amount of memories I have in my heart from the riding, the towns we stop at and the people we meet.

Favourite racers: Mick Doohan and Wayne Gardner. Legends. When they were competing there were five riders that could win every time.

Favourite music: The only time I really listen to music is through the speakers on my bike. It’s a touch of everything, but my favourite bike song at the moment is Titanium by SIA and David Guetta – people must think I’m a lunatic dancing while riding!

Best bike you have ever ridden: The latest CVO Road Glide. It’s insane.

Who couldn’t you do it without? Our faithful ride leader Ian Schubert. He organises routes and itineraries. I just turn up and ride.
